About the Client
All Things Hemp is Frankfort KY’s first CBD store located in the historic downtown district. Founders Ryann & Britton Maddox are two very down-to-earth entrepreneurs with a real passion for people, hemp education, and of course, CBD.
After months of making trips to Lexington or Louisville to purchase CBD, Ryann saw an opportunity to provide others access to these products locally and began All Things Hemp in early 2019.
The Goal
All Things Hemp needed to get online. They had established a Facebook page, but they needed their own website as well as a Google business listing. We connected over a video call, secured the domain allthingshempky.com, selected hosting, registered with Google, and started to talk goals.
Ryann & Britton didn’t need a full e-commerce site. Their business was already gaining plenty of traction to their physical location, so the purpose of this website was to tell their story and raise awareness about the store, their story, and the products they carry.
The Results
We planned a photoshoot for the following week to capture their beautiful store and selection of products. They turned out really nice and added a lot of personality to their design.
We created a “product” post type in WordPress to help them easily add and update products without having to write code or edit the design.
Last, we put our heads together to write copy for the home and about pages to tell the story of why their company exists. This included a personal testimony from Ryann on how CBD helped her overcome challenges in her mental health, and was very powerful.
This project from start to finish was a pleasure to work on! My best wishes to All Things Hemp in their journey to make the world a healthier and happier place.
