Grappa Contemporary Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar, a newcomer to Louisville’s dining scene, needed a compelling and distinctive brand identity to stand out in a competitive market and attract customers. Grappa sought a visual presence that would capture the essence of Italian dining while appealing to a modern audience.
To lay the foundation for Grappa’s brand, we began with an in-depth strategy process. Collaborating closely with their team, we worked to define their vision, target audience, and unique positioning. We set out to create a brand identity that would feel fresh and modern while embracing the warmth and charm of an Italian trattoria.
Inspired by traditional Italian restaurant signage, we developed a contemporary color palette and customized type to create a unique and memorable brand mark.
Like the elegant curves and traditional craftsmanship of the Grappa wine glass, we introduced a custom illustration to enhance Grappa’s brand identity.
The result is a cohesive and timeless brand that perfectly captures the essence of Italian dining. Grappa’s new identity is not only visually striking but also instantly recognizable, ensuring they stand out in Louisville’s vibrant culinary scene.
Finally, we focused on designing a website that embodies simple elegance. The streamlined design highlights the menu, allowing customers to explore Grappa's offerings alongside prominent calls-to-action that make it easy to reserve a table.
Grappa now boasts a cohesive and timeless brand that captures the essence of modern Italian dining.
