About the Client
The Brandenburg Boat Store, based in Brandenburg, KY, serves the crew members aboard towboats as they travel up and down the Ohio River, delivering them fresh groceries and other supplies. The company differentiates itself by not marking up every item delivered, but charging only a flat delivery fee on orders of all sizes.
The Goal
As a newly formed business, the Brandenburg Boat Store needed their website to be an online resource for their customers to place grocery and supply orders, and receive instructions on how to ensure timely delivery of their supplies.
One of the issues many towboat crews experience is groceries that go bad before they can use them. We wanted to make it clear that the owner Ryan had many years of experience as a crew member himself, and understood their need to receive only the freshest groceries.
The Results
The aesthetic comes across as clean and professional, featuring beautiful pictures of the Ohio River. We aimed to make navigating the website as simple as possible, with clear instructions for how to order supplies and what crews should expect when they place a delivery order. To our delight, the website garnered over 1,000 views in its first week of the launch.
